It’s been a long time since the Toxins meeting was hosted in the USA. Great to be back in New Orleans! Went to Mother’s for one of their famous PoBoys, right off the bat. Cafe Du Monde was very much the same with unbelievable coffee and beignets, while being serenaded by a brass band. Impromptu parades are still a thing! Shopping around for Chocolate Pecan treats was fun (had some orders to fulfill). Some great venues and restaurants in the French Quarter.
This was the first year that Aesthetic applications of toxins was covered. Great to see aesthetics represented in the lectures and poster sessions.
We were very happy to be able to chat with our friends at Ipsen and Abbvie to catch up! It has been awhile since we attended a live conference.
Special thanks to Dr. Katharine Alter for her outstanding work supporting the Injection Demonstration Workshop/ Pediatric Spasticity. Always an amazing experience seeing how several specialists assess and discuss their impressions of patient state and the approaches toward treatment delivery. Great to see Myoguide injection guidance device in action, in conjunction with ultrasound evaluation and guidance.
Looking forward to attending the AAPM&R meeting in October. More on that in a later post.
